Ford regoganises the production

In cologne Ford have presented their plans for the future distribution of production in four European plants. In future the plants in Cologne will share the manufacturing of engines for economical sub compact cars with the Romanian plant in Craiova. Furthermore, in Cologne Mondeo models will be converted to the use of natural gas and liquid gas. Saarlouis remains the main production facility for the next Focus generation. However, the successor of the C-Max will not be produced in Saarlouis but in Valencia, where the plant will be operated in two shifts only.
