The research initiative AKTIV presented research results for a safer and smoother traffic of tomorrow. AKTIV stands for "Adaptive und Koopertive Technologien für Intelligenten Verkehr". This initiative - mainly sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology, joined by 28 partners out of the cars- and suppliers industry, electronics, telecommunications and software companies - is aimed to create tommorow's traffic more felexible, smoother and with less casualties.
