Deutsche Bahn and Toyota started a field trial in Berlin offering electromobility within the carsharing, the customer-friendly rent-a-car-system of Deutsche Bahn. Toyota supplies 18 Prius with plug-in-technology to this test. "With these electro cars Die Bahn amends its range by another future oriented and ecological sensible solution for mobility," said Rolf Lübke, chairman of the board of the DB FuhrparkService GmbH, when starting the trial. The Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid has an electric operating range of 20 km. At this modus the car can be accelerated up to 100 km/h top speed.
